Coaches, board members, and other volunteers play critical roles in our organization. We would not exist without the hard work and dedication of these unpaid individuals. To protect our young participants and safeguard the integrity of our organization, our volunteers must adhere to several requirements, which include the following:
1. Complete and sign our volunteer application
2. Get fingerprinted for a background check (an appointment is required, so please prioritize this step). Instructions below.
3. Complete National Alliance for Youth Sports training - NAYS training is entirely online (coaches and board members)
4. Complete CPR/AED training - also entirely online (coaches and board members)
Please note, we strive to make arrangements to cover the cost of volunteering upfront, but in some cases, you are required to pay a small fee yourself, then be reimbursed.
When you sign the volunteer application, you'll be taken to our coaches' agreement. Please read it in full. If you need to revisit the document, you can find it here: Coaches' Agreement
Fingerprint Instructions
Go to https://uenroll.identogo.com/ and enter the following Service Code: 2F1J3Y.
Enter your Contributor’s Case Number when prompted: U12001.
Continue through all the steps to schedule your fingerprinting appointment.
When you attend your appointment, you will need to bring ID with you AND pay for your appointment (the cost is $25.73). The process is generally quick; you should be in and out in under 15 minutes. Please retain any receipts you may receive. Once you are fingerprinted and are cleared by the town of Newton, you will be reimbursed for the cost.
NAYS Training Instructions
Complete all three trainings that are automatically added to the cart once you register through the link above. NRH covers the cost, so you will not need to pay for any of the training. Please contact Andrea if you have any questions.
CPR/AED Training
This training is now town-mandated as of Spring 2025. Fortunately, it's very quick and totally online. Simply contact Andrea for a link to this prepaid training. Thank you!
